As one of the names that come to mind when it comes to gaming equipment, ASUS introduced its new monitor with a refresh rate of 280 Hz. ASUS TUF Gaming VG259QM will have a cheaper price than VG279QM with its size of 24.5 inches.
Today, fast IPS panels with a refresh rate of 24.5 inches and 27 inches of 240 Hz are now in mass production. But companies are determined not to settle for the refresh rate of 240 Hz. ASUS was the first to manufacture a 27-inch monitor with a 280 Hz refresh rate, and introduced a second monitor in this area.
ASUS added a 280 Hz refresh rate monitor to the TUF Gaming series. This monitor has a smaller size than the previously introduced monitor, and there is one more thing that will make players happy: its price. ASUS will release its latest monitor at a cheaper price than the other monitor.
ASUS TUF Gaming VF259QM with refresh rate of 280 Hz:
ASUS ‘new monitor, ASUS TUF Gaming VG259QM, has a size of 24.5 inches. The monitor has 1920 x 1080 resolution, 400 nits brightness, 1000: 1 contrast ratio, only 1 ms GtG response time and 178 degree viewing angle. What makes the monitor most special is the refresh rate, of course.
This monitor, which normally has a 240 Hz refresh rate, can find a refresh rate of 280 Hz without any problems when ASUS finds a way. TUF Gaming VG259QM supports VESA’s Adaptive-Sync technology. However, it has also gained NVIDIA’s G-Sync Compatible certificate.
In addition, ASUS TUF Gaming VG259QM also supports ASUS ‘ELMB technology. Thus, the fast flowing scenes can be seen in magnificent clarity. The monitor can reflect 16.7 million colors and supports 72% of the NTSC color scale. The monitor’s LCD is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified.
Despite all these features, ASUS TUF Gaming VG259QM lags behind in delivering the HDR experience. However, since the monitor is for gamers, the color issue may not be very important for some users. In addition, ASUS ‘GamePlus modes are also available on this monitor.
ASUS TUF Gaming VG259QM with HDMI 2.0a connectivity and 2W stereo speakers has not been announced yet. However, as we said, this monitor will have a cheaper price tag than other 280 Hz TUF VG279QM.
