The new Ubisoft Montreal title, which has just hit stores, features Eivor, a Viking warrior from the 9th century AD.
The Clan of the Raven leaves their native Norway, their home, the place where their ancestors and their gods lie. Eivor leaves its frozen homeland to find a settlement in another kingdom, that of medieval England. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the title of Ubisoft Montreal’s most recent production, coming two years after the previous installment, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. To celebrate its arrival on the market, the studio has presented an impressive launch trailer, which you can see on these lines.
When Eivor and the rest of his clan take the drakkar (Viking ship) to land in England, they already knew that they would have to fight to make a dent. The Christian kingdoms, divided by the lust for power, face their own problems. For this reason, the protagonist of this adventure strengthens ties with the different nobles to place their pieces on the board. Meanwhile, the settlement grows and the life of the Vikings (and Christians) who live there flourishes.
An encounter with the Hidden
If diplomacy is crucial, fighting skills are not far behind. Armed to the teeth, the Raven Clan and its allies raid monasteries, steal treasures, and use those resources to improve their home. But beyond his identity as a Viking, Eivor is also related to the Order of the Hidden, which will end up becoming the Order of the Assassins not many centuries later. As it is, he must face the Ancients, the future Templars.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS4, and PC. The PS5 version can be enjoyed from the launch of the console, scheduled for November 19 in Spain. Players who purchase their copy in this generation will have the opportunity to upgrade for free to the new consoles, which offer 60 fps and other improvements.
