Arcane, the animated series based on the League of Legends universe, has been revamped for season two by Netflix. The confirmation took place this Saturday (20), during a broadcast that celebrated the arrival of the Subferia Nights event (or Undercity Nights, in the original in English) to the game.
The announcement of the renewal was made by developer Riot Games accompanied by a brief teaser, which only says that the new batch of episodes is “in production”.

For now, there are no details on the number of episodes or an expected release date for the second season. However, some names have already confirmed their return in the English dubbing, including Hailee Steinfeld (Vi), Ella Purnell (Jinx) and Katie Leung (Caitlyn).
“We are much more than happy with the positive response to the first season of Arcane and are working hard with the creative wizards at Riot and Fortiche Productions to deliver our second installment,” said series creators Christian Linke and Alex Yee , in an interview with Deadline.
The first season is made up of nine episodes of about 40 minutes, all of which are already available on the streaming platform. It was released in three “parts” with three chapters each, releasing each new act after a week. The production is by Fortiche, a French studio already used to developing animations for the Riot Games game.
