Al Rocker’s Wife Talks About The Problems of Caring for Her Husband and How They Are Both Recovering From His Health Problems

Viewers liked to see Al Roker again on NBC’s “Today” after he did not appear on the show for several months due to a number of health problems. Fans of the beloved meteorologist should thank his family and support system for his return, including his wife Deborah Roberts. The journalist informed fans, family and friends about the state of health of the Rocker as his guardian, and now, a few months after the Rocker’s return to television, Roberts spoke about the problems of the guardian and how the couple is recovering from his health concerns.

An ABC News correspondent told ET about what it was like to take care of a Today meteorologist on the red carpet of the premiere of the documentary “Pretty Woman: Brooke Shields.” Roberts revealed that her husband “drove her crazy” before returning to his morning show earlier this year. Joking about her husband, who is already three decades old, the reporter frankly told what it was like to take care of the Rocker for months.

I think a lot of people don’t realize it, and I never realized it, that being a carer is really exhausting, exhausting, frightening and all that, and I’ve never come across something like this. And I hope I never do that again. But it’s hard. It’s hard. I think I’m still recovering. I’m still a little tired. I’m still mentally exhausted, but you know what, I’m grateful and just trying to just enjoy the moment and just be happy that he’s okay and we’re all okay.

Being a nurse can be a thankless job, and the 62-year-old journalist has seen this from her own experience. Fortunately, Deborah Roberts informed viewers and his family Today about the progress of the TV presenter during his two-month absence from the small screen. She was honest from the start, explaining everything from the couple’s Tesla hack to a detailed description of how bad things were with Al Rocker during his health concerns. So, over the past few months, a couple of TV news has been through a lot, and this has brought a lot of problems to both Roberts and the Rocker.

Fortunately, Al Roker got to the other side. Deborah Roberts would have had no other way, as she relied on her spirituality to get through difficult times. The tough journalist spoke about her faith and how the couple’s close environment helped her carry the burden of care.

I would say that my faith, my spirituality helped me get through this. My family helped me get through it, my colleagues helped me get through it. Colleagues, many of whom are here today, supported me at times when I felt that I simply could not stand it. There were people there, they were texting, emailing and calling, and that was the whole difference.

It’s nice to know that Roberts had the support she needed, as she was giving the same to her 68-year-old husband. Viewers saw firsthand the love for the couple when his family on the Today Show shouted at him during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade and visited their couple’s house to listen to Christmas carols. Now Roberts and the Rocker are happier, having survived a difficult situation.

Returning to NBC Today, Al Roker was himself again, joking and giving viewers a daily weather forecast. You can catch him on weekdays on the morning show from 7 am to 11 am. Deborah Roberts has also returned to her investigative work as an ABC News correspondent. You can watch a couple of TV news at any time, so keep an eye on our TV schedule to keep up to date.
