After the accident, the reported details about Ann Heche’s toxicology report are there, but it’s difficult

Last Friday, Anne Heche was hospitalized after being involved in two car crashes, the last of which resulted in a fire and serious burns. A few days later, representatives of Heche shared that the actress is in “critical condition” and did not regain consciousness shortly after the accident. Now details have emerged about Heche’s toxicology report, but the conclusions are complicated.

TMZ learned from unnamed law enforcement sources that Ann Heche was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident, but rather under cocaine. It is reported that the Los Angeles Police Department tested the actress’ blood after she was hospitalized, and found traces of not only cocaine, but also fentanyl in her body. However, as for the fentanyl, it is unclear if the fentanyl came from the hospital staff who gave her as a painkiller, or if it was in her system when she crashed her car. In addition, the publication describes Heche’s condition as “terrible”, since the actress’ condition has apparently not improved since she was taken to the hospital.

If you are not aware of what happened to Ann Heche, around noon on August 5 in the Mar Vista area of west Los Angeles, the actress reportedly crashed her blue Mini Cooper into the garage of an apartment complex. Then she pulled out and sped away, but soon after crashed into a neighboring house. It was an accident that caused a fire and engulfed both the house and her car in flames, and allegedly it took firefighters 65 minutes to pull Heche out of the car. She subsequently fell into a coma, and her representatives said she had “significant lung damage requiring mechanical ventilation and burns requiring surgical intervention.”

Assuming this information about cocaine and fentanyl is correct, it clarifies a little more about what happened to Ann Heche, although there are still many unanswered questions, including what she was doing just before this accident. The Los Angeles Police Department has launched an investigation into what happened on Friday, but has not yet officially released any results, since, as already mentioned, this latest information was transmitted from anonymous sources.

After the accident with Anne Heche, James Tupper and Thomas Jane, who previously had a romantic relationship with the actress, shared messages in support of the star Donnie Brasco. Ellen DeGeneres, who dated Heche from 1997 to 2000, also broke her silence about what happened, saying that although they didn’t communicate, she “doesn’t want anyone to get hurt.” A GoFundMe has also been launched for residents of the house that Heche crashed into, and at the time of this writing, more than $133,000 has been raised for them.

CinemaBlend will continue to report news about Ann Heche’s condition and additional information related to this terrible event.
