Being part of large-scale franchises like the Marvel Cinematic Universe can be a daunting task for a young actor. But recently, Newton said in an interview that she is angry at the actor for a special reason.
Catherine Newton on why she’s mad at Paul Rudd
Newton recently appeared on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, where they talked about a number of topics, including her MCU debut. Fallon asked Newton about her experience working with Rudd. Although the actress called it her dream, she said she was a little mad at Rudd. Newton told Fallon, “I’m actually a little mad at him because I can tell I’m laughing in every scene of the movie.” In addition, she told about a funny incident that happened during the movie.
In one of the scenes that the duo filmed, there were explosives, including bombs and fire. Because of all these explosives, Newton was a little worried. So Rudd approached her and told her she could do it, but also warned her. The actor told Newton, “Whatever you do, don’t laugh.” However, shortly after that, the director shouted ACTION, and Newton could not stand it and burst out laughing.
The actress added that the worst part of the incident was that it wasn’t even a funny joke, but just looking at Rudd made her giggle. Elsewhere in the interview, Newton admitted that she was thrilled to see her name in the MCU movie. In addition, the Freaky actress expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with Rudd.
