A$AP Rocky Shares New Single “Same Problems?”, Says That The Fourth Album Is “Completed”

A$AP Rocky shared a new track called “Same Problems?” and announced that his fourth studio album is “finished”.

The New York-born artist presented the song last month as part of his Amazon Music Live performance on Thursday night dedicated to football, and the studio version appeared on streaming services yesterday (January 18).

«Same Problems?» — A$AP reflects on the role he could potentially play in perpetuating violence in the rap scene.

“How many problems are being solved?/ Am I a product of the things I’ve seen?/ How many problems are being solved?/ Am I proud of what’s in my songs?” he asks in the chorus of the single.

During an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, A$AP explained that he wrote the track because he “felt remorse.”

“I think I felt hard. I think I also felt guilty because every time we lose someone in our community, we all—especially me—have a habit of just saying something like, “Everything is messed up.” This is not right. Why do such things happen?” he said.

“You ask a lot of questions, and usually… I never took the time to really understand that I was part of the problem, because I wrote such lyrics and a lot of other things for songs.”

A$AP also promised that the sequel to his third album “Testing” (2018) is “being prepared”.

“It’s finished and we’re just putting the finishing touches,” he said. “The new stuff is that I’m vulnerable, and it’s just not a filter, it’s just where I am, on my stage. My age and the way I see things, my peers, younger kids, older cats, it’s just my point of view.”

Last month, A$AP Rocky released a new track, “Shittin’ Me,” which he wrote for the video game Need For Speed Unbound.
