South Korean automotive giant Hyundai has released a commercial that shows Tesla-like smart parking system of its new sedan 2020 Sonata as part of the Super Bowl. The ad, which attracted great attention in social media, has familiar faces like Chris Evans and John Krasinski.
Hyundai’s new commercial for the American Football League (NFL) championship match Super Bowl focuses on the Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA) feature, which allows 2020 Sonata to enter and exit a parking space when drivers are out of the car. The new feature developed by the South Korean company is almost identical to the Smart Vehicle Call feature we see in Tesla vehicles.
The ad, featuring celebrities like Chris Evans, John Krasinski, Rachel Dratch and Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz, refers to Boston’s iconic accent. Speaking with a heavy Boston accent, American actor Krasinski praises the “Smaht Pahk” or “Smart Park” feature after parking the vehicle remotely with the RSPA feature.
Introduced at the Geneva Motor Show last year, the 2020 Hyundai Sonata was highly appreciated for its striking design and cutting-edge features. The vehicle has a total of 13 ultrasonic sensors.
In addition to the smart park, 2020 Hyundai Sonata is among the most ambitious models of its segment, offering many optional driver assistance systems such as collision avoidance, lane tracking assistance, start-stop radar cruise control and lane centering.
