Who knew, a decade ago, that this company would be known as the “Chinese giant”, being the third largest cellphone manufacturer in the world? In view of this date, we will address some important milestones in Xiaomi’s trajectory, which, in some places like India, occupies the first place of sales.

Just a year later, the Chinese giant decided to celebrate its 5th anniversary with a series of promotions in its online store during the Fan Festival. In just 24 hours, more than 2 million cell phones were sold, guaranteeing a place in the Guinness World Record.

In the same year, Xiaomi arrived in Brazil – the first country to receive the company’s products outside Asia. With the coordination of the former Chief Executive of Technology, the Brazilian Hugo Barra, the news was announced during an event in São Paulo. A few months and many complications later, the company said goodbye to the Brazilian lands.
